Well, its all over and we gained four seats and thus control of Carlisle city council. It was a fabulous result and a credit to all Labour people in who worked so hard to win back control from a tired & lack lustre Tory Lib Dem coalition.

Sadly despite a herculean effort by Kevin Parker in my ward which is rock solid Tory we lost by just 46 votes. I think it was a microcosm though, of how the Tory & Lib Dem vote is collapsing nationally.
